I have tested ps3 version of alpine, and it runs great, wow what a great map indeed. No problems at all, please upload shrift !!!, we want it desperatley
someone help please i'm doing everything just like in this tutorial
Solved - i stupid didn't install PS3 mod tools lol
Ah. I had that issue at first. There's a Sticky around here somewhere about PS3 cooking tools being released, it's completely seperate to any game patch. You need to install that.

Ps3 version works well, bit of lag with high player counts but other than that no problems i can see. I think this map is on another level from any others i have played purley because of the way its constructed, the details and mostly the imagination! Thanks for a great map and now looking forward to Shrift even more :P.
This map is awesome. The only thing I see is that at the edge of the water fall its not solid and the rocks right before it arent either. You fall right through them and can hide in them.
Thanks genthly for cooking this map for the PS3! I've only tried the VCTF version so far, but will be trying DM in a minute
First thing to say - it's gorgeous! Incredibly impressive visuals, particularly for a first-time map, and rarely seen anything even approaching it on the PS3. One of the most amazing things as far as I'm concerned is that, for everything that's going on & the incredible scenery & effects, I didn't get any lagging on the PS3 at all! Again, thank you for cooking it for the PS3, it's a great map, can't believe it's your first. You've put a hell of a lot of time & effort into it, & it shows I'll keep playing it & update if I find anything, but in the meantime will have a run through of the DM version & post back

First thing to say - it's gorgeous! Incredibly impressive visuals, particularly for a first-time map, and rarely seen anything even approaching it on the PS3. I know it's an Alpha, so there are a few problems with the PS3 version.
1) At first it seems the loading has stalled (as it does so often when connecting to Midway VCTF servers) - the left-to-right arrows stop moving for a few seconds then start again; not exactly a problem, probably because of all the stuff it's having to load in!
2) No text displays - health/ammo/armour/frag counts etc are usually either missing entirely or garbled beyond recognition. Same in the pause screen
3) Weapons are visible, but armour/ammo/health packs/vials/deployables are not. Their spawn points can be seen, but especially with deployables, when picked up the character runs as if holding the deployable but nothing can be seen between the hands
4) Most characters appear to have a "bloom" around them, almost as if they were wearing a shield belt
5) Textures for rockets & frag projectiles appear blocky
6) When dropping a deployable, sometimes you get graphics along the bottom of the screen showing weapons icons - haven't seen that before on the PS3, although I have seen it on screenshots of the PC version
Okay, I think that's about it for the initial play-through. I fully appreciate that this is an Alpha, so there are no complaints whatsoever from me! As you asked for comments, just thought I'd let you know how it plays through the PS3. This isnt an alpha. The shrift level is, this isnt.
Most of the problems you had I can explain right now. As soon as that loading screen halted for a second, that screwed over the level. This happens every once in awhile with some of the more graphically intense levels like Necrisisland. If you restart your ps3 and play it again and it doesnt halt the graphical errors wont be there. I played this on my ps3 and nothing like what you just said occured on mine. If the loading ever does that, then you know what the problem is.

My bad, sorry, I didn't realise - genthly, please ignore everything I said above, and NyghtcrawleR, thanks for pointing out the solution Confirm it now works perfectly - will edit my original post to reflect

insanely good visuals. ran terrific on the ps3 without any problems. the only tiniest bit of lag was in the tunnels where the green vials of health was located.
in any event........this beats some of the epic stock maps!
