    good remake!

needs name in txt file and author and player load in preview shot……………..dark and I like the added green slime; nice textures/meshes and details and upper area, teleporter; seems to be some added doors and other areas in this one and bots are decent; better weapon pickups than UT2003 version; although, replacing the biorifle with something wouldn’t have made me cry.

....also, the ut-files link above still works, but the mediafire one does not.

I know I'm -really- late, but I just stumbled upon this topic recently.

Found the original zip file and reuploaded it:

i emailed the author and just heard back from him. He has lost the file, unfortunately.

If anyone still has the final version of this map on their hard drive it would great if you could upload it somewhere so some of us UT3 noobs who used to play Quake in our hay day can get ahold of this classic for UT3 :-)

    Thanks!

I have fond memories of the screams coming from the fragpipe after I hit the button in quake 2. Thanks for the remake.

.... but i think we need a new link

The map is made to be "fally" I prefer ungodly unforgiving. It's how the original was in Quake II, you either love that fact about the map or despise it lol. Just keeping it true to the original!

Yeah that sounds good I would be happy to assist anyone that has PS2 cooking questions. I will make a post in the level design section with differences between PS3 and PC. Kismet being one of the areas with a big difference.

Well if you want to make the level even better then post to this area of the forums and fellow mappers who have had success with bots doing tasks should be more than willing and able to assist you:

BTW good job fixing the PS3 version. I'll check it out later on today and let you know I run across any glaring issues. I am certain PS3 gamers will really appreciate this extra effort on your part.

Also now that you have a PS3 as a developer you may be able to assist other mappers whose maps just won't load on the PS3 even though they cook fine and unpack just fine. Maybe start a thread in this area:

    http://gearsforums.epicgames.com/forumdisplay.php?f=351

And let mappers who are having issues know that you may be able to help them figure out the issue ... although I think this is just an area where we need more documentation from Epic.
