It's a nice map, but you've missed two (very important imo :P) things from the original:

-The invisibility room
This is next to the top of the lift at shock rifle, there is a small room in the wall where you can get the invis

-The pretty fly for a white guy room!!
There was a secret room in UT99 that had a picture of a dev, saying "pretty fly" and when you hit it it says "for a white guy", this is below the biorifle. In the wall thats a dead end next to the lift that goes to the bio.

ah no, look again, invis room is there
Only you now have to walk up to it instead of shoot it. I couldn't make the bots work with a shoot to open door.
I think a touch door is better anyway, as it makes you vulnerable for a second while it opens.

I was thinking of putting the pretty fly room in, but forgot all about it!

Great remake, 5 stars from me. Bot pathing is good as well. And getting bots to shoot in order to open a secret door is somehow possible, they were able to do it in UT2004 on the DM-Curse map. Great job.

If you are up to it do you think you could remake the one level that took place on one skyscraper where you go up and down floors to do battle ... part of the skyscraper is open and there is a crane on it as if it is still being built. I know that Teddie made a remake of it for UT2K4 I believe (maybe it was UT2K4 ... I would need to double check) but for the life of me I can't recall the name of the map right now. But it would be cool to see a remake and you did such an excellent job on this one so maybe ...?

Edit: The name is DM-Crane ... and the original author was Cedric Firoentino. Yeah this map rocks ... it was the map that I played the most besides Codex when I did have UT99 and I do like Teddie's remake.

Wont be doing a remake for my next map, will make one of my own.
It's a bit constricting doing a remake, and with such a powerful editor, I'd like to really see what it can do

I've got something else to say about your great remake of Codex
But I think pictures say more than words so I will let you have a look at it and then you can tell me what you think.

I told my friends about the map, they mentioned that huge difference and I'm afraid I agree with them, so I hope you will want to correct it.

Anyway, here are the screens now!










So all I'm asking for is that you increase the height of those archways there, please.

Oh by the way, what about the lighting in that area?
Seems quite dark compared to the original.

Hm yes, my doors are lower than the original, funny I missed that, I was pretty exact with my original copying, punching in all the numbers manually!
Wish it was brought up last week.
Don't think it's a good idea to change something now, especially as it's not technically broken, just different.
