    (Edited to fit forum guidelines)

    Name: CTF-FlakArena
    Version: 1.0 Final
    Compatibility: UT3. Created with 1.0, tested with 1.1 patch.
    Description:
    There's an open line of sight from one flag to the next, as well as jump pads that throw you into the enemy base, a large arena flanked by turrets, and side passages to hide in.

    Credits: I created this map entirely myself, using assets included with UT3.

            OK, sorry about that folks, I've edited the original post to fit the forum guidelines.

            Anyway, to answer your question ur-name-here, this is the final version. I'm currently working on other maps that I hope to publish soon. This one was a quick idea I had that ended up being a lot of fun to make and test, and now I'd like to see if other people think its fun to play

                the texturing could really use some work to give the map character and beauty, but I do enjoy the layout...ill give it a 3/5...good texturing would probably bring to a 5

                  Few suggestions:
                  1) If you dont know yet how to do terrains (something I have to learn also) then you should restrict yourself from using rock textures on square rooms else it's just going to look like a crappy exterior.

                  2) Put frames around doors to hide the square shape.

                  3) Use different textures on walls, floors and ceilings (flag room).

                  4) Watch the Volumes, Zones and Particle editor tutorial. It's the coolest stuff.

                    Are those tutorials available for free, or in the Collector's Edition?

                    When I bought my copy, the sales guy said the only difference was that the Collector's Edition came with a better box and a better book.

                    A few days later I found out about the tutorials included, and have been kicking myself for not spending the extra $10...

                      I cant remember the web site, Im sure it's listed in the forum, but it has all the cool video tuts that you will need. If someone knows and can help list it for Rigel and everyone.

                      Another note: Take a look around at projects people are doing to help your Imagination, and construction of your ideas. Learn hard, and Work easy.

                          They're in the collector edition I think. But maybe epic has released them on the net?
