Certainly not a fail - the cooking & packaging process for PS3's a bit bizarre I suppose Packaging the mod's not the full cooking process, only takes a minute or so, you don't have to go through all that again

Bizarre was exactly in my mind

The fact is that my connection is very poor so uploading the file takes ALOT of time (uploading and veryfying all the files for a map version takes something like a hour...) so Im usually not happy with it.

Heres the JAM file: http://gwenhael.fr/maps/dm-steelgarden/USERDATA.JAM .

Since you look to know the business:
Is this the only necessary file? Can I rename it into something more precise (like DM-SteelGarden-b3.jam?)

        Thank you all!

Yes, the userdata.jam is the only required file - you can rename it if you want to more easily identify it, but any PS3 users who download it will need to rename it to userdata.jam before importing it, as that's the only filename the PS3 will recognise. Not exactly a hardship for people to do that though, in order to experience quality work

Thanks for the link - d/l now, will take it for a spin later this evening and post back

I'm sorry, it doesn't work - unpacks / imports & shows up in the map list without problems, but as soon as you hit "Begin Mission", it takes you straight back to the settings screen

I've seen this happen on other maps (Nomadicus' Primeval SE was one, although I believe that was a problem with War multiple node setups) so I imagine one of the mappers on these forums will know what's causing it. Alternatively, might be worth PM'ing The Demon Slick to see if he'll cook it for you ... ?

Either way, thanks for making it available for PS3 - if you can get it to work, I'll gladly take it for a test drive & post feedback

Aww. Okay, I'll try to cook is properly once for all; then if it doesn't work I'll may call for help (no problem with giving the uncooked file to a PS3 modder).

Sorry if Im slow, just some work IRL :-°

              Thanks for trying to play

Hi, spotted this post in another thread - could it be a typo in the PS3-UTGame.ini file? The effect they're talking about is what happens when trying to launch your map on PS3 ...

                Hope this helps

                  It may!
Ill try to recook the map this afternoon - got alot of things to do (school etc).
If I dont succeed I'll search some nice guy knowing the point to cook it

                  Thanks again.

No problem - quality content is worth waiting for As I said before, if you do find you want someone else to take a look, it'd be worth PM'ing TheDemonSlick - he's a great guy & has helped quite a few other mappers with their PS3 cooks
