    Wow....go away for a few months and continue to play UT2004 and miss alot!!!

    Evil...thanks so much for taking this on. It is a mod we use on our UT2K4 server and didn't feel right in UT3 without it. Will definately start looking at getting our UT3 server up and going again hopefully, if the Linux server is much more stable now. I haven't even checked on it for so long that I have no idea if the Linux server has been upgraded.

    Again....many thanks for all your work!!!!

    Hey....who has this running on a public server and where can I check it out???

      I haven't seen many servers running it yet, although I haven't checked for a while (can't filter by mutator in the server browser, so it takes ages to find them). There's at least one Warfare server - "[pbg] East Coast".

            i got drafted by MR Evils to do the remaining model and texture work

            its 6 weapons in total now attached to a rotator and 2 bases one for the floor and one for the ceiling so here comes sci fi busyness extra extravaganza:

              the second base design reminds me of Starcraft...which is +epic point.
              the other base looks like it either is able to move around, or that it uses those spikes to attach itself to walls and ceilings, jagging them into the surrounding stuff.
              For full glory, we need to see this with materials and textures
              God, i'm so excited now =D

              EDIT: okay, checked the names...didn't see but the main picture the moment i posted.
              It's even called Ceiling base, so...yay for mr.obvious XD

              What makes me wonder...the ceiling base and weapons have the same scale as the ground weapon. So the question is: will the turrets have the same size and strength when placed on the ceiling, or will they be scaled accordingly, and their weapon strength adjusted?

                    Warby has indeed done an exemplary job of the models. Here's a screenshot of the minigun in-game:

                    The Ceiling Sentinel is scaled to half the size of the Floor Sentinel, and although all the parts do fit together, the Ceiling Sentinel still just has the two weapons - Pulse Cannon and Grenade Launcher (no model for that one for now).

                    There is very little left to do now, so beta 4 should be released soon.

                      one thing tho, about the team-lights of the sentinels...will it remain like a floating orb over/under it, or are you planning on making some parts of the sentinel itself team-colored and glow?
                      EDIT: lol...****, didn't notice the base ALREADY HAS blue color on the pic.

                          I had always intended to use only the floating team beacon as team identification, but then Warby's skins had glowing bits on, so I team-coloured those. Now I'm not sure if I should keep the beacon as well or not.

                            Beta 4 is now finished - I updated the first post with the link and a couple of screenshots. Enjoy your flamethrower, Buffy. Unfortunately I had to remove the dynamic lighting from the flames because of performance problems, maybe I'll make it an optional feature in the next version.

                            For anyone making mods for the Sentinel: A lot of the code has been restructured to take better advantage of UT3's new component system, with a lot of functionality moved out of the actor classes and into component classes. A lot has also changed due to the switch from the temporary static meshes to the new skeletal meshes. This means that anything you have written so far will almost certainly need changing. Hopefully the code is commented well enough for you to work out how it works now, but ask me if anything is not clear. The link to the source is at the end of the first post.

                                Can you add an option so that we can either spawn with the sentinel deployer or not upon spawn.

                                I'm honestly hating that 1 thing that u always have it right when you spawn in, and in DM, its **** annoying.

                                Well i'd go against that, look at what RuneStorm is cooking up. hey already have 1 fully made gun, check their site buffy, pics of it should be on the main page.

                                Though its only being beta tested right now (awesome weapon, really swee), so you'll maybe be able to get your hands on it in a few weeks.
