Galtanor's Invasion [Beta][Pics][Updated 10/26/2008][v022][Patch 1.3]

    Yes. You have to place a UTWeaponPickUpFactory. Then in its properties, select one of Galtanor's Invasion weapons as the pickup class.
    Cant find it there. Maybe it needs to be something in the UTeditor ini to make them avaible? I remember for UT2D you had to put a line in that ini to get the special pickups in the editor.

    Dav, fighting that ninja sounds like it will be alot of fun, i like the idea of having to duck or dodge his attacks.

    CTF/VCTF/WAR maps give you a nice defend/attack type of experience. I actually prefer to play on CTF maps, as they are neither too big or too small and usually have sufficient ammo/weapons/powerups.

    I actually disabled monsters dropping weapons. I will add an option to enable it.

    ah thanks for the tip i play on "#1 UT3 Invasion BattleRPG" though lol so that wouldnt work =/ i guess i can live with the link gun aswell. bit slower but still does the job =p

    While i made the sword swing animation i realized that a swing from a different side wouldnt make much difference because its so fast. So i made a swing straight down as the 2nd. When he makes the swing to the side you should be able to dodge it with crouching and when he makes a swing straight down you can dodge to one of the sides.



    Btw, is it somehow possible to place the Galtanors Weapons as a pickup in a map? I couldnt find them in the editor.

    On my server i edit the monster ini and equip the the gun slingers with enforcer and the headhunter with snipergun manually like andrew said, thats the only way i could get them to drop their weapon. I do that because i have designed some special rounds with low hp monsters that are ideal for players to go dual enforcer crazy on

    CTF maps with objectives removed provide some nice additional arenas. VCTF/WAR maps do the same while also providing vehicles for killing the invading monsters!

    Wow, impressive. You out do yourself again Davision. And yes, if you have seperate animations for them I can create a randomized trigger to select the one he uses. I dont know how much of the AI suggestions I can get working, but I can try.

    v018 seems to do some weird stuff for me. It crashes out when I kill a freeze bunny. Every time. I get erroneous "package missing" errors. GP_onslaught seems to be the one hanging up mostly.

    For making him a tiger i would need to sculpt a full new head otherwise it would be messy, so he stays a bunny with some tiger genes
