    I had to go back to default ini last night because my custom waves were terminating on the second or third wave of each map. I could not find ANY evidence of the cause in my server log either. I ended up renaming the "WAR" wave to "Default" and removing the others from the ini. I was also experimenting with the sentinel upgrade mutators at the same time, so they might have contributed to the issue somehow.

    **EDIT** Come to think of it the server was running fine with just the "sentinel" mutator running, I didn't start experiencing issues until the 3 new "upgrades" mods for the sentinel cannon were added. Removing the mutators alone did not fix the issue though.

    I did find a few errors I'd like to see leave my server log if you have any ideas.

    v20 wave selection is broken

    I have done some testing, went back to original v20 wave ini, even with skeleton random wave option deleted from UTGaltanorsInvasion.ini the skeleton wave would still load as a random wave option on maps.

    The game is ignoring what waves you specify in UTGaltanorsInvasion.ini and basically looks at all waves available in wave ini.

    Next test, i removed all my map specific waves and left only my custom default wave setup from v18, it WORKED!

    Next i added my arena wave setup to the ini, this time when i loaded up deck, instead of my custom default wave, i got the hardcoded 2 wave failsafe loaded, i then loaded arena map and my custom arena waves worked fine.

    Conclusion: Having map specific waves in the ini screws up the way the game looks for default wave config.

    Can any1 else confirm this?

    Initial was for my ut2k4 rpg invasion server and ut3 galtanors rpg invasion server and dont have much things at this moment (need more time for all lol), but if you want you have this site

    In the other cuestion of my problem i have downgrader to patch 1.2 and galtanors v0.20, at the moment goes fine but i have to test more.
    I also have some battle rpg, speed mod, sentinels beta6 and more custom maps
    The ip is 62.75.202.132:7777 is someone want to test, now is with default waves but i have to make some changes in it.

    Evil Engine originally hinted he would let us use the alien model he was working on. (I dont think he outright said he would let us, but said he was open to the idea.) However, it seems that for the moment he has been working on other projects and the alien model has been put aside.

    One of the problems with adding stuff like that is that I am not a modeller. Outside of making simple shapes for maps, I am not good at all. So, unfortunately, ideas like this will have to wait until someone is willing to make the model and let us use it.

    Yes, that is a basic wave when the game can not load the default wave. The RandomWaveNames are there to provide some diversity to the waves with out trying to cram all the monsters in a long wave setup. You can remove them with no problems. You should still have a default wave setup. If it is not loading, please post or send me the wave config and I will take a look at it.

    Its funny because now the gladiator map waves work but not the default ones! We had a problem getting map specific waves to work with my map online, but then i realized that it worked with the new INV version.
    Maybe my map its still the cause of problems, try it with making it without map specific waves. But then again my problem was only online and i guess you have your problem offline. I hope that helps ...its late

    btw for those that have not noticed, there is a new monster that has not been mentioned in the version update notes, its the megamechspider, a large motherspider that spawns minimechspiders, looks like a cool boss

    Im back

    The invasion server is still on v18, will be updated to v20 tonite, will also update sentinels from v5 to v6, the disturber is fixed now so can enable it again.

    I probably wont add the new instagib and lightning turrets yet since i have not play tested them yet for balance, i suspect the instagib one will be overpowered and kill bosses too easily but the lightning one should be cool.

    I wish Cyz would come back from where ever he is, we need his server to be updated with latest versions ;(

    gaunlet: Yeah, all custom content (be it a mod, a map, or anything else) are not working with the beta linux patch, atm.

    microbious: I think you have no clue about Linux. We are talking about the Linux server. Also, that discussion should go somewhere else anyways.

    microbious why must you criticize things you know nothing about? In an earlier post you made a racial comment about Asians making the monsters... I don't know about you but I don't know too many Asians named "Davidson". I think your point could be made without bringing race into the picture. Besides, where are YOUR monsters? You should be appreciative of those who have worked hard to get this mod where it is today unless you can do better yourself.

    Now you want to criticize gaunlet for using Linux? Have you ever used Linux microbious? Do you know how to run a server on Linux? Yeah... I didn't think so.

    If you don't have something constructive to add please add nothing at all. I have better things to do with my time than read your misspelled posts that contribute nothing.

    BTW if you click the download link on the first page you'll get version 20, Galtanor forgot to update the post to reflect the correct version number.
    Thanks for the info of the beta patch, i go to downgrade to patch 1.2 amd galtanors v019.
    I know than linux dont have much games support but is only for client not for server, i have 3 years with ut2004 invasion server and now with ut3 in linux and always goes fine.
    I dont want to rent a windows server because here in europe is expensive and linux goes fine lol

    I hate ppl as much as you do and i did exact same thing (maybe not as much but am getting there) to prove my hate to everyone playing my servers or visiting my site.
    You just happened to love me more that you love everyone else thats all.
    Personally i dont care what other ppl think or say about me and if you are as nice as you say you are than you should be able to keep it you yor self as well.

    Yes I do, that is why I helped start Community Reload a few years back to help UT2004 players that wanted to raise thier skill level. If you notice we had 421 players join to learn or teach there.

    Now you criticize Americans, but "your" website domain name shows you are in Tahoma WA, last I checked that was still in the US. And by the way we don't have "a race" here.
