Galtanor's Invasion [Beta][Pics][Updated 10/26/2008][v022][Patch 1.3]

Galtanor could you make me a Gametype similar to Galtanor's Invasion:
It's called 'Locust Horde Invasion'

Basically using the GOW character pack, could you make all the enemies from the locust faction.

The Order they come in:

Giest
Grub
Drone
Gunner
Grenadier
Sniper
Berserker
Theron Recruit
Theron Guard
Theron Sentinel
Theron Commander
Raam

For some reason my server is no longer showing up in the (lovely) server browser. I am not sure if the issue is related to v022 or just some other fluke. The server is still running though and can be joined using the console command:

open 64.37.73.212

How to:

Install the add-on packs on your server.
Add the following lines to the UTGaltanorsInvasionMonsters.ini file:

MonsterTable=(AliasName="Dollbomb",ClassName="DavisionsMonsters.MonsterDollbomb")
;*** Fraeger's Monsters ***;
MonsterTable=(AliasName="Demogorgon",ClassName="FraegersMonsters.MonsterDemogorgon")

Modify your waves as desired to have the "Dollbomb" and/or "Demogorgon" monsters.

If you have a redirect, compress and upload the .upk and .u files and add the following mutators to the command line to force them to be downloaded:

DavisionsMonsters.UTMutator_DavisionsMonsters,FraegersMonsters.UTMutator_FraegersMonsters

Oh... now I see the info was on Davision's webpage... doh! I suppose I should read more and type less.

I haven't had a chance to play the game with the new additions, but a couple clanmates have and the server seems to work great. I did have one clanmate describe a strange condition while playing in "DM-Grand-Diablo".

I think there is a physics crash with those dolls, I killed one and it fell far, and somehow I died.

The two new Davision and Fraegers mutators seem causing odd server browser issues. When I have them on the commandline, my server in Favorites shows 9999 in the ping and I cannot join via the browser (I can still use 'open'). When I remove them the ping shows normal and I can then join.

Also i noticed the livestats on my website does show the server as offline, i use ut3sview.

Try removing and re-adding the muts with webadmin, this worked for me and the server is back in the browser.

I also added these dinosaurs as an additional mutator... holy **** things are wild in there now! These guys obviously don't show on the radar and add a real element of surprise as you are making your way through "jungle" type maps like War-PsychoTropix...lol.

Thanks. I'll try that out. Though I did not see the Ye Old Pub server in the browser this morning as I was testing the command line settings.

It does show on my UT3Sview as that is where my sig is generated from.

Oh, that's cool! I wondered what was generating that and the server view on your site. The next patch is rumoured to have some general server browser improvements so perhaps it will at least be more consistent than it is now.

The main page is powered by "LGSL" and the "UT3 player Info" is powered by "UT3SView" because LGSL still does not provide UT3 player info.

I combined it all on our VBAdvanced server page here. It does a nice job of monitoring all our servers.

The sig is an option of UT3Sview, it's a neat trick.
