    I have downloaded v.023, and get this:
    Code:
    C:\Programme\UTTools\UT3ConverterV2>java -jar UT3Converter2.jar
    20.03.2010 04:54:24 ut3converter2.Main start
    SCHWERWIEGEND: null
    java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1
            at ut3converter2.RegistryReader.getRegValue(RegistryReader.java:94)
            at ut3converter2.RegistryReader.getUTxFolderPath(RegistryReader.java:71)

            at ut3converter2.ihm.Display2.jMenuItem1ActionPerformed(Display2.java:58
    6)
            at ut3converter2.ihm.Display2.<init>(Display2.java:92)
            at ut3converter2.Main.start(Main.java:105)
            at ut3converter2.Main.main(Main.java:50)
    Your old converter V1 still works.

      Try with this new UT3Converter2.jar file (just replace the old one).
      UT3Converter2.jar (0.23a)

      However,
      i got a few questions then:
      1) Which operating system do you have?
      2) Which installed UT game you have?
      3) Can you do this and show me if you find UT2004 folder value in registry
      Open Start Menu->Execute->key in "regedit" (without quotes)
      Can you find folder:
      If you have UT2004:
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps\UT2004\
      or
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps\UT2004\

      If you have UT:
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps\UnrealTournament\
      or
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps\UnrealTournament\

      As for me, i run Windows 7 and registry value for UT2004 is @
      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps\UT2004\

      but for windows Xp (maybe vista too?) users it may differ

        I've downloaded this, but I get a bunch of folders and >class<-files.
        Is this a precompiled version?

          You just have to replace the old UT3Converter2.jar file with the new one.
          Do not decompress the jar file. The jar file is the compiled program (with compiled java .class files)

          File Structure:
          -/Conf
          -/Bin
          -/Lib
          -UT3Converter2.jar (0.23)-> replace it with UT3Converter2.jar (0.23a version)
          -history.txt
          -config.xml (after first program launch)
          -readme.txt

          Thanks for info about registry values.
          Anybody got Vista? So i can set where to found ut paths with registry in program for vista users .

              Can you try running this command:
              Code:
              "reg query "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEHKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps\UT2004\"
              using Start Menu->Execute->Cmd
              and show me what it returns (hiding cdkey of course if it shows something)

                as for your questions, here are my answers:

                1) WinXP SP3 32bit
                2) UT2003, UT2004. I have UT99 too, but not installed properly. I also have installed UT3 demo, it though doesnt appear in registry, no idea why.
                3) This:
                Code:
                [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps\UT2004]

                        Hi,
                        I just installed the latest version of Java on my WinXP machine. When I run your program (Ver 2-0.23b) I get a message box telling me to review my directories for where my unreal games are install. I press OK and program goes away for good!

                        It appears that your program creates a configuration file when run for the first time.
                        Here's what I got.

                        <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
                        - <root>
                        <isfirstrun value="true" />
                        - <install_folders>
                        <deusex rootfolder="none" />
                        <unreal1 rootfolder="none" />
                        <unreal2 rootfolder="none" />
                        <ut99 rootfolder="none" />
                        <ut2003 rootfolder="none" />
                        <ut2004 rootfolder="none" />
                        <ut3 rootfolder="none" />
                        <lastfile value="none" />
                        <lastoutputfolder value="none" />
                        </install_folders>
                        </root>

                        My directorys are as follows
                        UT = C:\Games\UnrealAnthology\UnrealGold
                        UT2004 = C:\Games\UnrealAnthology\UT2004
                        UT3 = C:\Games\UT3

                        Did I do something wrong???

                          UT = C:\Games\UnrealAnthology\UnrealGold

                          Did I do something wrong???
                          quite weird error.
                          Do you have the settings panel (where you change install paths) that shows after pressing "ok"?
                          If not can you do this and return me the result:
                          Create a .bat file with notepad with this in it
                          Code:
                          java -jar UT3Converter2.jar
                          put this where the UT3Converter2.jar is and execute it then copy/paste the error message in this topic thx.

                            Looks like he has the same issue me and others are having. I tried already typing manually the dir paths in that config.xml file but didn't work for me.
