Hey Xtreme what's been going on man? I sent out my coret beta to a few more people but nothing back yet... I still wanna know where I could improve lighting and headroom!

Yeah, I may try getting back into Gael, but since it looks like such a symetrical map, I often thought about making Gael into a small CTF map, could work, you would have the flags on the second floors, perhaps, just off the elevators. I'm giving that some thought. CTF-Gael2?! Hmm...could work, we'll see.

At least this way, I don't have to duplicate the efforts of Air-A-Cobra's DM version of Gael, and having my version as a CTF map probably be for the best interest so there's no "overcrowding" of remaking this close-quarter map.

Ugh please no more Gael... it's way overdone. Something different please like DM-1on1-Irondust like I was gonna do before it crashed on me.

Yeah, it was the DEATHMATCH version of Gael that was overdone, however, I'm planning on redoing my version as a Capture The Flag, which was never done with Gael before, that I know of. However, CTF is doable with that map, since you have a symetrical map there, and you have two possible platforms to place the flag bases, so it is possible.

It's a remake of an original Unreal map (DmObservatory) for the original UT and is actually fully named Beholden: The Observatory Revisited; one of my favorite maps. It's a map by -Entropy- and the Unreal original is by OZ. OZ actually released DM-Observatory][ for UT on Jan. 4, 2000 and Beholden was released by -Entropy- on Jan. 19, 2000 (at least those are the dates of the unr files).

Here's the description (let me know if you can't find the DL):
"This mountaintop monastery was once known as "The Observatory" because of its high altitude, and subsequent view of the Heavens above. When Liandri began scouting the location, rumors started circulating about their involvement in some sort of death cult. It turns out, however, that they instead purchased the property in order to provide the players, and the fans, with one of the greatest deathmatch arenas ever seen."

This is a classic. Been a while I didn't play DM-The-observatory. In fact the file name I have is "DM-The-observatory-2.unr"

could you list the links? I know 1x has been careful to make sure the links work and I have personally listed some of the maps so if the links are broke please tell us which ones and we will try to correct this. Thank You

I'm sort of wondering if anyone got into doing DM-Corrugation at all. I was playing through this in UT 2004 the other night, and wondering how this would translate to UT3 at all... Not too sure how well this would rank in terms of best previous UT versions' maps, but somehow, a remake with that could work.
