Hey Waylon, do you have a tutorial for WAR mapping, or at least a link to one?

It's all well and good learning to make a Cube room to play in, but how does that relate to building a Warfare type Map.
Would love a tut that explained how to get the wide open areas, and the backdrops, and integrate the buildings, Caves, Rivers, etc on to the map...
Then even I would take the time to fire up the editor and have a go at making a map.

These tutorials really help! I'm looking into taking your classes in the future(hopefully). I'm a game design student and we're still doing ut2004... I'm not sure why. Thank you, for these tutorials will help me get a jump start on things that are current with today's technology as I'm an aspiring level designer.

Also, I keep a list of known level editing tutorials that also include Waylon's.

Tutorials
Hi everyone. I figured i should share this with the rest of the world.
On my web site are a bunch of tutorials for both UT3 and UDK, anywhere from mesh building, normal maps, lighting and more.
With the new UDK released, i wrote up a Lightmass, Ambient occlusion and Emissive lighting walk through for an easy visual representation of what different functions can do.
Included in this tutorial list is the new 'mesh painting' function and i wrote a tutorial to show how it works and how you can get different effects with it, like offsetting the speed, time or direction of a pulsating light. This can be anything from a street light to a candle. One mesh, one material, thousands of uses.
Also i have a tutorial to show how you can offset a texture on the mesh based on its worlds location. This is EXTREAMLY handy for hiding repeating textures.
