Does deleting and re-adding your account keep your single player campaign progress? Not sure if that's tied to the username or what.

There was a download link to a installer. It is unsure where it came from and not even sure if it works

How come I get an msi.exe file
it don't look like the ut3 icon that's for sure, also I don't play on steam and mine is a retail version ut3
does it matter?

You might have downloaded the wrong file. That one is currently taken down as the source is unknown. You can check the following thread for a quick instruction how to install the patch:

PS: This thread is about resetting the password and not installing the patch. Please reply in other threads regarding your problem of installing the patch properly (Official feedback thread | Installation Guide).

The patch needs to be redone because when i use it it makes a msi exe and then I get a warning or something
So my Opion is to rebuild the patch or something

Thanks once again to Shambler for adding this feature to the new master server.

You can now delete accounts: To do so, follow these steps:
1: Click the 'Create Profile' button on the login menu (need to logout from the main menu if currently logged in)
2: In the Create Profile menu, type the name of the account you want to delete, put in anything for the password (e.g. '1'), and for the email, type 'DeleteAccount'
3: When you try to create the profile, if it successfully deleted the account it will tell you profile creation was successful, then it will attempt to log you in, and this will fail (which is normal, since the account is now deleted).
If there was an error, such as an account that does not exist, the create profile menu will tell you that the username is invalid.

This will verify your cd-key behind the scene so it is not exploitable.
