Help please dedicated server

Hi guys,I am new to the forum, can you help please.
What it is, My router will not allow a dedicated server to run? It stops at NAT is strict.
I have been doing my best to reslove this, but I have failed.
I think the problem is that I do not have the correct port forwarding codes 7777 etc.

Do I have to use a DMZ server?
can you give me an official link for setting unreal up through a router.

All help greatly appreciated. This is doing my head in.
My router is a buffalo whr g54s, O/S XP service pack3, Unreal3 @ 2.0

Thanks for the reply.
I decided to make a DMZ server for Unreal3. The server now reports NAT @ moderate. Trouble is I cannot connect to the game via my gaming PC and my server is clearly visible within the search.
Another thing that is bothering me is that the server reports,ERROR:localized bot string setting botskill was not found.
can any one tell me how to rectify this error please as It would appear that it is this error that is causing my server to fail?
