UT3 2.0 causing ATI VPU Recovery every 5 minutes

Since the patch I have been getting a bunch of random freezes, VPU recovery usually recovers from them but the screen goes black for 10 seconds. The problem exists with all Catalyst versions, and reinstalling the drivers/ut3/patch 2.0 do nothing.

CPU: Phenom 9850
Card: 4870
OS: WinXP 64-bit

Just to get temperatures out of the way, have you set the fan to manually and 100%?

In ati control panel set slider to best performance, turn off all fancy trapezoids and texture ai thingys. I had constant crashes with some settings until i found combination that works. And set sound to software mode, not hardware.
