How do you launch Unreal WITHOUT STEAM??

I purchased Unreal Tournament 3 over Steam. Now, every time I try to launch Unreal Tournament 3 without Steam, as it should since Steam sucks balls..

IT launches steam every time I try to run UT3!

WTF is this noob nonsense by Steam? Why would I want to launch Steam every time I want to play UT3?

Now, I'm even afraid to delete POS Steam off my system because maybe UT3 won't even work at all anymore without Steam. If this is the case, I'm going to have to demand a refund.

I think it's your own fault, sorry.
You could have bought this game indepedent of Steam, but you bought the Steam version.
I'm not sure if you can run it without Steam now.
I have the "normal" Retail version of UT3 and I do not need Steam.
