    Duplicate Login Detected?

I just started playing UT3 v2.0. I never played the earlier patches very much. I've been playing the campaign online with a friend and occassionally other internet players. Sporadically one of us will get kicked from the game with a message like "Duplicate Login Detected". This immediately crashes the map for the one player and logs him out. It has happened to the person hosting the campaign and also to players that have just joined the campaign.

Is this a new bug with version 2.0? Is there a way to prevent this from happening? It is really quite annoying.

I got this error today too, and I'm pretty sure there was no duplicate login...

Had the game since about the time it came out. Played it rarely (been mostly on my console) but recently I've been wanting to play a bunch.

I linked my through Steam, got all updates obviously, and everything seemed fine. Last weekend and today I continue to get the duplicate login problem. Sometimes like recently tonight it happens nearly as soon as I get into a game. Other times like last night I can play fine. Happens whether I launch through stream or independently.

I did not use another login from my original one created from when I first got the game. Just now I changed my password by changing my profile through IGN - but that didn't fix the problem.

I've searched the forum and online and have not found much more than complaints. I can't find an email for Epic support. One thing I found was information about it might mean my CD key was stolen - if so then how do I contact Epic to verify?

        If it matters at all,

Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP1 (all updates)
        Xeon processors (Mac Pro)
        9800 GT (Windows only card)
        8GB Ram

I'm certain that my CD key/login has not been stolen. This error pops up randomly and has nothing to do with an actual second person trying to login as me. I found one post in another thread that claims this problem has something to do with Game Spy. I don't know. I just know it is a real irritating bug that happens to me at least once every time I am playing online. I wish Epic would address this.

I've gotten this error several times, I'm using steam to play. Don't have gamespy.

Edit: I guess I do use gamespy...since its built in

Same here. Actually, when I returned to the server they were talking about it too so I guess someone else got kicked too for the same reason.

Do all of you (us) have Vista 64bit?

I am getting this like crazy after 2.0 patch, didnt have issue with previous versions.

                  No answer on this yet?

I get this error on a daily basis. Epic's response a year ago was "we're working on it" I posted about this in multiple threads, but unfortunately noone has an answer. I also tried running my game through steam, but still got it. I am also running Vista, but got the error when I had XP too. The latest patch and titan pack also did not help.

                          Thats great!

Guess I will have to create a new name, or change password then?

well this has nothing to do with epic

it is the gamespy server dropping out, it is a gamespy issue rather than epic

                              I get this message, too.
My System is Vosta 64, 8 gig, nvidida 285.
All patches, because I use Steam .

First I used no login and get this message.
I was a bit disturbed and created one.
But it still comes up after 5 minutes of playing.

                              Epic, pls help!
