I'd like to say that I'm really impressed with the work Epic has been doing on making UT3 a better PC game than it was when it launched. The game is a lot of fun now and even though I like my CTF matches without super-weapon mutators like Titan, playing on the official server is still a blast. Hell, I'm playing UT3 more than I am UT2k4 atm but...
I BSOD at random times when on top of a base in Facing Worlds. Doesn't matter whether I'm alone or with other players. The behavior is not consistently repeatable and sometimes I will go a whole match on Face with no crash even though I've gone to the top of both bases several times
All of my drivers are up to date and I've turned off both Hardware Open AL and Hardware Physics although neither of these settings seem to matter one way or the other.
Here are my system specs:
EVGA 680i SLI mobo
C2D E6550 CPU @ 1333MHz FSB
4GB 800MHz RAM
2x EVGA GeForce 8800GTS 640MB in SLI (af2)
Creative X-Fi Fatality Elite
320GB HDD
Antec 9000 Series Case
Antec 850W PSU
WinXP Pro X64
None of my parts are OC'd but have replaced the stock CPU cooler with an ASUS Evo something or other..thus this is not a heat related problem.
Windows is up to date and so are all my drivers as well as DirectX
Anyone else having this problem?
Thanks.
