Activating Retail UT3 on Steam: Invalid Product Code

So I read that ut3 keys can now be used on steam, and am ecstatic. I have 5 ut3 keys, all of which I KNOW work online (My keys, I've played online with them tons), so I open up steam and go to activate them.

    First one: Invalid Product Code
    "wtf?"
    Second: Invalid Product Code
    "WTF?!"
Third, Fourth, Fifth: Invalid Product Code
    "WHAT THE ****?!"

    I can't play ut3 on steam because it tells me my codes are invalid ;_;
    I need help.

      No, not duplicate, invalid.
      https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...1968-HKLX-7538 doesn't help at all.

Why does it work on retail but not steam >_<

When you enter it in Steam, are you putting dashes in?

        like this
        XXXX-XXXX-XXXX

Yep, copy/pasted from the text file I store them in.

Well, go and type them from the manual. Probably a mistake in the text file.

Uh no, the text file is the same place I've been typing them from since I got it. I don't have the original key (the physical one) anymore.

I'm still confused why it works online (retail) but no on steam.

Try typing them in instead of pasting. There might be a glitch in the steam ui that wont accept it pasted in. Would not be even close to the first program with a similar glitch (or is it a feature )

                      5 keys??
                      Why do you need them?
                      Are those keys really original?
It doesn't matter if you can play online with them.
If they are not legitimate, they could be on a "blacklist" and not supported.
(But online play still could be possible which is very confusing - but no registering in Steam.)

                      Edit
                      Stupid question:
Did you try capital letters as well?
For example XXXX- instead of xxxx-.

                      Greets

Why is 5 keys so strange? O.o
Originally were for friends but I never got around to giving the keys to them and they all got sucked into WoW so... >_<

And yeah I've tried caps, no caps, etc.

Just so you know, registering for example a stolen, pirated or keygened (I'm not saying your keys are bad) on Steam results in your account being permanently disabled, so if you have other games on it watch out.
