UT3.exe Encountered a problem?

I recently bought this game, and i installed it on my computer i got the message after double clicking the icon

"UT3.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" is there any solutions to fix this, because ive tried some of the things from different forums and this, it still doesnt work.

Any help would be greatly eppreciated.

I had this problem suddenly after the game working fine for about a year. I finally just uninstalled the game, tossed the application folder and what was left in the trash and reinstalled it.

I left the MY DOCS configs folder in place, so my settings and add on maps/mods stayed. It was fine after that. It even saved my gamespy login/pass
