280GTX PhysX troubleshooting

Just got my 280 today and got it installed. Fresh install of Vista x64. other specs.

Core2 Duo 3Ghz
4Gb Geil DDR2 800
Asus P5N-D mobo
Evga GTX 280

installed the 177.79 beta drivers.
installed the latest physx software
installed and patched UT3
installed the ut3 physx mod pack
installed the latest DirectX

problem is this:

when testing the physx maps (host a lan game on one), UT3 stops responding.
load any other map and it runs great.
checked the physx control panel and everything seems to be running fine.

my roommate has an 8800GTX and a physx card and he can run the maps just fine.

dont know what the problem is. any help would be much appreciated.

apparently i had the ageia mod pack installed and not the nvidia physx pack.

the nvidia physx pack was released today.

lol, my roommate fixed it while i was at school.
