All options deleted after game shut down (ver 1.2)

Hi I have the problem that the game won't save any of my settings not even my serial just nothing. I have installed patch 1.1 and after that I installed patch 1.2. I have also tried installing the hotfix for windows vista but it said it didn't apply for my system. Could you please help resolve this issue

System specs:
Windows Vista Ultimate SP1
AMD Athlon 64 x2 4400+ @ 2.587 Ghz
2 GB DDR2 PC2-800
ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 512MB GDDR4
MSI K9A2 CF-F

Problem solved

I solved the problem for anyone who experiences the same who has it's documents set on another partition here's the solution. (This may also work with other games that store files in your documents.)

Create a shortcut.
Right-click the shortcut -> properties
After the shortcut target add -nohomedir
(example: "E:\Unreal Tournament 3\Binaries\UT3.exe" -nohomedir)
Press OK and start the game by using the shortcut.
