Weapons Fire Delay!

I know the single player of this game like the back of my hand! runs flawlessly! But as soon as i try an online game, no matter what the ping i get around a 0.5sec delay from weapons fire! This makes the game feel laggy and becomes quite an effort to achieve a successful kill (very frustrating)! Has anyone any ideas why this happens and how i can resolve?

Join server with under 50 ms if able.
There will always be a delay in online games, whether of not you know about it is how the game has implemented the lag.

Are you saying that a server with over 50ms makes weapon fire lag or general lag? coz movement is fine!

Yes, servers over 50 will cause a noticeable weapon's fire lag.

You are playing on a server, based somewhere else. Ping tells you how long it will take to send and receive data from the server. The higher the ping, the longer it takes to send and receive the data from the server.
