    graphics issues

When i play UT3 everything is white or invisible! and on the editor the default checker pattern is all scaled down (even when i scale it up) and shadows/shaders/HDR lighting all don't show up.

Don't hurt me but my graphics are integrated intel 950 GM series with 2 gb shared ram

by the way i just want to be able to make maps i don't really care about playing the game to much (even though it is cool) so the editor is priority

I'm surprised it runs AT ALL. Intel integrated graphics are useless for anything more than general use.
    You need a videocard sorry.

Actually, I'm surprised that the game started for you. Most laptops integrated graphics aren't even powerful enough to start the game.

but are you sure there is nothing i can do to get the editor to work? enabling tripple buffering maybe? or increase the amount of ram it uses?

(note: i am using vista *cough cough* piece of **** *cough* cough* and i lied i have 1 gb ram and a 1.5 ghz processor

LoL wow you don't need cards like those, the fire GL is not even appicable for your use anyway.

This card for 40$ should be fine to start if you want a quick inexpensive upgrade.

If you want much better card the 8800gt or the ati 4850 at a great choice for about 160-200$

It might be helpful to post your systems full specs and how much you plan to spend.

Are you going to build it yourself or pay someone?

              Build one something like this,
              http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...ance,1956.html

But buy the E8400 CPU and 2 X 8800GT 512 Mb instead of the Extreeme quad core waste of money and bad SLI support 9800 cards. You should easily be under $3k.
