Ut3 not always starting up

I've been having this issue ever since I got UT3. I try to run the application and nothing happens, I just see the splash screen. I then force close the application and try again. Sometimes it takes 5 tries, other times it works first try. Anyone else having a similiar issue. I have no idea what can be causing this since it's happening randomly.

If the cursor doesn't vanish after the first few seconds i know it won't run.
PS GEARS seems to be giving me same problem.

Thats a strange problem, cant really think of anything as would cause this problem (driver-wise etc.). Im guessing something (software?) is interfering with UE3? :S as you mentioned it happens with GoW aswell.

For me it takes quite long to start the game, im guessing all of us are experiancing a slow start :/ but atleast it has never failed for me.
