Can't join any servers!

Hello, I can't join a single server right now, I click but it stays at the server screen, I can't even spec. It happened right after making a new account for my nephew, does that have anything to do with it? Because now I can't join a game even with my account. Last night it worked fine, please help, thanks.

Try deleting your ini files in the MyDocs/MyGames/UT3/UTGame/Config directory. Yes, I abreviated the names, but you should be able to figure it out. That will give you new default files when you start the game. You will need to re-enter your dvd code.

If that works, you should keep copies of your working ini files as backups. This is a common thing.

Yes I always keep copies of everything, also it did not work, wish it did. Thanks for the help though. Any more ideas?

I recieved this advice when I encountered this problem, and yes, it does nothing. Addidionally to the online play not working, Instant Action won't work either, giving you the "Lorem Ipsum" message when you try to enter a match with bots. I am not sure how to fix the login problem, but I do know this. If you make another login, then that one will usually work. If somebody can't help you, I am most certain that if you create a new login, that one should work instead.

I just tried my Old account, my new account, and my nephews account. When I go to the server screen I'll click on a server and my computer will make that loading sound, but my screen does not change. My drivers are all up to date, and my computer can run ut3 no problem usually. I can't even spectate, only way I can join a game is through another program such as Xfire.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game? I guess that would be the next step.

If you ask me that is a given, I can usually figure this stuff out, but maybe I just have to wait for the next patch, hopefully the next patch fixes a lot of bugs.

One other thing to try is to empty or delete everything in your UT3 Cache Directory. MyDocs/MyGames/UT3/UTGame/Cache/

Make sure your windows firewall is disabled as well as any AV programs.

I do not think the patch will fix your problem. If something worked fine and then does not anymore, then there must be something somewhere that changed.

Okay, I just found out my buddies account DOES work, but mine and my nephews account do not work. I know for a FACT it's not the firewall, I know my way around computers pretty well and can usually figure things out myself. I rather not make a new account, because I was pwning, and I don't really think I should considering I did pay 50 bucks for this game, there should be some way to fix this withought ruining my account. Thank you for your support, about to try what you just told me may work.

Cache folder is now empty, my account still does not work. This has stumped me. I hope after all of this it is not something relatively simple, because I've tried everything I know to try.

I figured out what it was. I made an Account with /| in it to make an A, well even though it let me make an account using /, I could not join any games. I figured this out when I went into the ini file, and the / was gone.
