BroKen~DisK repliedI believe the mods are part of the game data. The profile is just that. Volume control, character,mini-map, campaign progress, stuff like that.
I'm currently formatting my hard drive. I have decided to start over from scratch as well. It might be considered extreme, but I've deleted game data before, and wanted to try a different approach.

Xerxes repliedOk, It just happened on Facing Worlds, online, not my host. If I delete game data, will that take away the mods too or should I delete them first. I'm going to start completely from scratch and be awfully picky about what I DL.

feisar32 repliedOriginally posted by BroKen~DisK View PostIt wasn't until later when I went back to play Alpine again that I noticed the problem.
My gun sight was just a square, and all pixilated. It was just a snowy blur. Same with my health status, weapons selection, scoring. Even firing the weapons weren't right. I tried loading a few other maps (don't remember which ones now...It was a long night) into Instant Action, but it never got past the loading screen. I had to quit the game in order to gain control, and ofcourse my system went into a restart.

Most of the problems you had I can explain right now. As soon as that loading screen halted for a second, that screwed over the level. This happens every once in awhile with some of the more graphically intense levels like Necrisisland. If you restart your ps3 and play it again and it doesnt halt the graphical errors wont be there. I played this on my ps3 and nothing like what you just said occured on mine. If the loading ever does that, then you know what the problem is.
I've downloaded a lot of the new maps mentioned in the VCTF thread, including Biomium, but as yet haven't had the chance to try any of them. I don't think it has anything to do with the amount of mods you have - I have over 300 (not including custom characters) currently installed on my PS3

black_star repliedOriginally posted by Xerxes View PostOrbital and Glacier match on both our lists. Haco and Celotex vctf have worked for me before. The others I've not tried.
I may try the same as you, even though it will take ages.
Oh, and Sacrilege is the first map I had this problem with.

BroKen~DisK repliedIt took me an hour to load everything back up again, but I also have the luxury of having my PC and my PS3 next too each other.
Loads of people had problems with Sacriege. I tried to dig deeper into the problem with that map, but didn't make any gains...so I just moved on.
Now that I know I wasn't the only on with this problem, I now wish I hadn't reloaded everything. The only way to find the cause of the problem is to load them back one at a time. If it corrupts my files again....Its another hour to put it back together, if I end up deleting them all.

BroKen~DisK repliedI had the same problem yesterday. It didn't happen till I uploaded some new maps to try out. (I had some problems sacrilege but deleted that weeks ago, and no problems till now)

Its unfortunate that I did them all at once, because it leaves me with no checkpoint. Strange thing is....I had loaded them all, and had gone thru them with no problems. It wasn't until later when I went back to play Alpine again that I noticed the problem.

I've deleted everything in My Content. I started rebuilding it last night. It currently has everything in it from before I started having these problems. I'm going to make sure everything is working now and use this as my check point, and add other maps one at a time to help determine where the problem lies.
I have had Athea CE on my system for sometime without any problem.
This is what I have loaded up at this point.

Thats everything for now.

Xerxes repliedAtheaCE works online, and if there's no bots, offline.
Tried Glacier next, loads forever on/offline with(out) bots.
Not going to try Biomium or Orbital for now.

Tailsnake repliedSomebody else just complained about Biomium not loading in that thread, maybe it has to do with the cook. NightInThePark-XL doesn't work on a lot of PS3s also but it's fine on mine.
