Graphics issues

The game runs pretty smooth, but backgrouds and stuff ghost and smear and streak making it really ugly to play. anyone else having this problem? just installed today running on x800 nvidia/core2duo/2gigs ram

An X800 is an ATI card, I think you made a typo. Did you try the newest drivers clean-installed and the INI fixes listed in the Stickies?
