Imorting .rar to PS3

I am yet to be able to import a .rar file onto my PS3. I have been able to do it with zip files of my flash card. I just go to my content and import it but i get a message that my flash card has no content on it. Do I have to do something differently?

yea...you have to unzip rar and zip files, the userdata is inside of them lol
