Big UT3 x-fi xtreme gamer sound problems HELP!!!!!!!!!

hi there guys, just got ut3 last night and installed on my comp fine but im having a litle annoying problem. I started the game fine and every thing is going great then all of a sudden really loud scratching sounds come out of my center speaker popping as well. If i exit then go back in its fine then all of a sudden it happens again!! it almost sounds like metal grinding against metal!
please help anyone as as u can amagin its pretty distracting

My set up is
AMD x2 6000+
nforce 4 430i mb
4GB 5600 ram kingston
geforce 8800 gtx 768mb
x-fi xtreme gamer sound card
700watt power supply
windows vista x64bit

There are confirmed issues between current Creative and Nvidia drivers on Vista. . . maybe you can use an older and/or beta Nvidia drivers?

any help will do guys its really strange i just cant work it out. ive tryed downloading windows x64, geforce 8 series and creative patches but nothing seems to work!!! Could it be a faulty sound card, is there enough power to use it properly?????!!!!
