Basically, i start the main game as single player but as the first movie starts it freezes as soon as the first vechical is shown in the movie. The movie then stops freezes and then a restart is required.

It would be nice if you mentioned how you fixed it so you could help others. Did you make the edits to the UTEngine.ini as outlined in Ultron's sticky post, perhaps?Comment

Yep i followed the instructions to edit the UTEngine.ini was very simple. Just open that file found in the config folder of the c/docs/games/ut3 and then once that file is open just use the word finder to find the pumpwindows bit and then change the value from false to true as stated in the troubleshoot FAQ.
"PumpWindowMessagesWhenRenderThreadStalled from False to True, and save the file. It should look like this: PumpWindowMessagesWhenRenderThreadStalled=True.2Comment
