    badness in bold.

If i were you, i'd grab another gig or two of ram, get xp, and get a new graphics card, if you can swing it.

That depends on exactly what you have and what you do not have.

    Is it AGP or PCIE?

What type memory does it use? rambus, DDR, DDR2?

What size is the power supply? Do you need a new one for a video card?

How much space do you have for a video card? length, single or double slot?

I guess the only reason I'm keeping Vista is because of DirectX10, If XP had DirectX10 then I would switch immediately.

why do people always say this ****? No hes not better off getting a new system if he just wants to spend a little as possible. not many people can just simply buy a new computer on the spot just to play one game. What a bunch of technical support you are.

anyways, yeah more RAM will help on vista. Vista wont hog your memory if you disable alot of extra features that you dont use. Check http://www.tweakguides.com/TGTC.html for alot of useful info. I think when I decide to reinstall Vista, Im gonna choose the basic because Ultimate is utter useless.
Might want to double check on your video card slot to see if its AGP or PCIe.
If you have a PCIe and only want to spend roughly $100 on a video card id recommend an ATI 2600XT 512mb/DDR3. You can find them for about $89 on newegg.com
I have this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131066 and it plays UT3 between 35-70FPS with my tweaks and it doesnt look like ****.

Yeah i was looking at that card, it seems really good. I'm buying 2GB of ram so I can have 3GB ram. My mate runs Vista on 3GB and it's a lot better

your CPU should be fine since its dual core, but running vista on 1gig or RAM is a huge no no. 2gig, I would say, is the bare minimum I would run vista on, let alone run games like UT3 on it.

The best thing to do is, downgrade to XP, get another gig of RAM, and get yourself a 9600GT (you can get one for around £110)

Your better off getting a whole new setup. HP boxes are junk.

A standard ATX case will fit all ATX motherboards, A quality 750 watt or larger power supply is a must.

I you use one of the motherboards used in this review, it will make a great system.
