Well, first of all I hope they had more information, because determining your CPU is broken would require a little more than what you've given here. Even if it were, it's very difficult to determine what is wrong, and your computer probably wouldn't run at all.

I suppose they must've meant not good enough to run UT3. Maybe true, but I don't think a slow CPU would cause UT3 to crash upon launch. It would probably just run like garbage.

So I looked it up out of curiosity.

    also,
this wud most likely be the issue,
ur CPU is probably not srtong enough to run this game.
soory to give u the bad news
He's making a complete and utter guess. You simply haven't given enough details about your computer to determine if your CPU has anything to do with it. Here's what you should do:

    1. http://utforums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=590466
    Halfway down the page.

    2. Go back to your original thread, and post detailed system specs. If you don't know how to determine this, then open Start menu --> Run and type in "dxdiag". In the bottom right corner press the button "Save all information." Either upload and link to that file, or open the file and copy/paste all the information.

    3. Don't purchase any computer equipment yet. You need to definitively determine what the problem is first.

your processor should be just fine. Its a dual core so i don't see an issue there. what kind of video card do you have? if it's and onboard video card that could be the cause of your problems.

i think this is what you have:

        http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/...06014Rnv.shtml

the specs show an onboard video card. I don't think UT3 can run from an onboard video card. Maybe a newer video driver could help out.

I didn't even know that an onboard card could support DX10!

You'll need a new video card with that computer. It has integrated video, the nvidia 6150, which just isn't up to par. The good news is that computer has an available PCI-e slot.

                  You could try Brad G's UT3 Tweaker 5.0: http://forums.epicgames.com/showthread.php?t=594723

Turn basically every video option as low as it will go. Hope it works!
