Ok i have the energiser pro pc from novatech,
I want to overclock the cpu put probably not the graphics as it already was when I got it. But I think the power supply is only 500w on the energiser pro
so can i overclock it the specs are:

    The novatech energiser pro's specs!!!!
    http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/s...e.html?PC-1115

by the way it does not say the power supply but i am pretty sure it is 500w

WOW nice hotrod! I'll bet the PS is bigger than 500! You should be able to OC the 6600 cpu a bit, biggest prob is cooling, sigh. IMHO Get Everest to check temps and voltagtes

if you want faster performance at a high resolution overclocking the cpu won't help at all. you need to oc your video card more. most preoverclocked cards have quite a bit of headroom in them still, just as much as regular cards sometimes because they might have higher quality components (for ex the memory).

Keep in mind, also, that Unreal games, historically, have not taken well to overclocking.

E6600 should do 3.2Ghz without breaking sweat.

Drop it to an 8x multi, set FSB to 400, mem @ 1:1, you'll need extra volts through your CPU tho, try 1.4V as a starting point.

Use Prime95 to test for stability.
