      Dust,

      im going to guess that ur pc can't handle the info or ur power supply aint enough, even though its much more compicated than that...although ur pc does meet the min specs, so... i got no idea.

            So you've never even created a profile, stgreeko? Have you installed the ATI Catalyst 8.1 drivers? First wipe your current drivers with driver sweeper:
            http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=driversweeper

            Then install the drivers that correspond with your operating system. Find them on this page under "Videocards - ATI Catalyst":
            http://downloads.guru3d.com/

            Make sure you have the UT3 patch:
            http://download.beyondunreal.com/fil...ut3/patch1.exe

            The main config file is the UTEngine.ini, but this will not exist until after you create a profile. The tweaks refer to lines that already exist in that file. The value after the = is the part that needs to be set. Right-click the UTEngine.ini file, click Properties and unset the "Read-Olnly" attribute then open it with a text editor (like Notepad.) Then make sure Ultron's tweaked .ini values match the lines corresponding to those of your UTEngine.ini.

                Make sure all of your drivers are up to date. If the problem continues, check Ultron's tweaking guide. This is what Midway support will tell you:

                Unreal Tournament 3 crash fixes and workarounds

                If you are experiencing crashes after the splash screen, during movie cutscenes, at the main menu, or random crashes in game:

                1) Update your graphics and sound drivers. The easiest way to do this is to visit your system manufacturers website. They typically have a "Support and Drivers" section or something similar that will direct you to the latest drivers for your computer. After you have downloaded and installed the latest drivers start the game to see if the problem persists.

                2) Run the game with -nosound. Certain sound cards running without the latest drivers are known to cause crashes in UT3. Running the game with -nosound switch will determine if your sound card is causes the crash you are experiencing. To do this follow these steps:

                a) Right click on the UT3 Shortcut located on your desktop by default and select Properties.
                b) At the end of the Target Line type -nosound (Make sure to include a space before the -)

                Run the game and see if the problem persists. If the crashes stop after using the -nosound switch, download the latest drivers from your sound card manufacturer and try the game again.

                3) Perform these .ini tweaks provided by the UT Community. The following .ini tweaks were given by the UT Community to help resolve crashing in UT3. These tweaks will cause minor in-game visual annoyances but will usually allow you to enjoy your game:

                a) Go to "My Documents\My Games" and delete the Unreal Tournament 3 folder. Start the game to see if the problem persists.
                b) If the problem continues go to "My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config" and open the UTEngine.ini file.
                1) Search for UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization and change False to True
                2) Search for bInitializeShadersOnDemand and change False to True
                3) Search for DisableATITextureFilterOptimizationChecks and change True to False
                4) Search for PumpWindowMessagesWhenRenderThreadStalled and change False to True
                5) Search for OnlyStreamInTextures and change False to True

                They should look like this:

                UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=True
                bInitializeShadersOnDemand=True
                DisableATITextureFilterOptimizationChecks=False
                PumpWindowMessagesWhenRenderThreadStalled=True
                OnlyStreamInTextures=True

                c) Save and close the file.
                d) Start the game.
