    8800gt

    Hi there!
    Upgraded my graphicsboard from an ATI X800XT to a 8800GT and got worse performance then before, loadingtimes got incrased as well as worse FPS then before, how could that be? Whith the X800 I could play the map from the start but with the 8800 if I play a war map the first node is already captured when I connect + the game studders like crazy for like 20 seconds before I can start to play.
    Running the game with winxp sp2, P4 3,4 1 gig RAM and 8800GT.

    Your cpu is very very weak, and major bottleneck to the 8800GT, in fact the P4 is not a gaming cpu, it never has been(defeated by Athlon 64), you must change cpu to Athlon 64 X2 or C2D, check ur socket if it's LGA 775 it might be good to upgrade to C2D.

      I know that, but I still got better performance with a 3 year old graphicsboard. I should at least get the same performance with my new board.

        Clean out your old Catalyst drivers with Driver Sweeper and maybe reinstall UT3.
        http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=driversweeper

        Change the UTEngine.ini file as follows:
        [Engine.ISVHacks]
        UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=True
        bInitializeShadersOnDemand=True
        DisableATITextureFilterOptimizationChecks=True
        PumpWindowMessagesWhenRenderThreadStalled=True

        [SystemSettings]
        OnlyStreamInTextures=True

        Check Ultron's tweaking sticky for more tips or go for broke with this guide:

          Installing 169.28 drivers solved the FPS-part of my problem, the extreme loadingtimes are still there though. What to do???
