I'm hearing the dual 8800 cards in one card will be febuary or a little later.. and the REAL next nvidia card will be the 9800gtx or whatever and will drop in march.. and it will not be 2 8800ultras in one card. And supposed to be around $550.. what do you guys know about this.. post links etc if you can..

the G90's are already here, the new 8800GTS 512MB version has a G92 GPU, which is speculated are the new base for the soon 9series, infact there isnt going to be a 9 series card that is 2 8800 ultras BUT the 8950 that we havnt heard much of or the next 8800GTS 1GB G92 GPU will have 2 GPU's in it much like the 7950GT 1gb version, but the next gen graphics cards will have 30% or more performance than the 8series cards, when the first 9series is released there wont be a major price drop in high end 8series cards it will be the low end which will fall quicker. -
I'd rather get a 8800GT 512MB at 210-230$Can + 5% Taxe then overclock it (Core/Shaders/Mem) from 600/1500/1800 to 720/1800/2000 like on mine, rather than get a 2.5x more expensive card to get like 30-50% performance gain.Comment

lol the 8800 gtx 768mb is quite powerfull and I have yet to find a game that dose not run sweet at Max setting. But I guess you can never have too much power!Originally posted by champdee View PostComment

Yeah but for me i'm getting frame drops when a lot of people are in a map in certain areas of a map.. while other people (with my system bascially) are claiming they get 100+fps and never drop a frame.. at like 1920x1080 while im at 1280x1024.. I don't get it.Comment

Champdee, are you using the 169.28 Forceware drivers, the 1.1 patch and smoothFramerate enabled and you've set UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=true in the UTEngine.ini? Your system should be a monster.
