TwoSpoons repliedI went from an Athlon 64 3200+ to an Athlon X2 4200+ (socket 939), and got a noticable improvement. Rest of my system is 1G ram and a 7800GT vid, on ASUS 8N32 mobo. I get ~40-50 fps, at 1600x1050 with the detail sliders at 1. Very playable - I haven't noticed any hitching or lag, as reported by others.Leave a comment:

FlashIV repliedYes you should be good to go. A CPU upgrade might not be a bad idea either though. I have a 3500+, 1gig RAM, and an x1950XT and get anywhere from 10-30 fps. I'm pretty sure my CPU is bottle-necking my video card. I get the same performance whether my sliders are set to 3 or 1.Leave a comment:

With Upgrades can my PC play it?
I had the UT3 exe/kernel32.dll problem and I am wondering if it will let me play with the upgrades in green.
I am happy with just being able to play with it.
I don't want to buy a new PC becuase I don't want it to be long term.
I usually play with 800x60 on UT04 even though I can go higher with smooth graphics,And I am use to waiting few minute(1-3) for maps to upload.
