Did you even look in the Troubleshooting & Technology forum? This thread should be in there aswell.

Hi. I'm having the same problem. THe splash screen comes up and then nothing. My processor activity stays pegged at 100%.

If I go into the install folder and launch the game via the unreal front end, it boots, but it is not playable. No sound and the video extends beyond the screen. Plus, if I try to change any of the video settings, the game crashes and closes. I too have read the forum and tried all the fixes and nothing.

Re-install it if you haven't already, a file might have been copied incorrectly when installing

            Try this..

            Go into control panel

            Programs and Features..

            Find something called "Host OpenAL..."

            Uninstall it!

            Enjoy!

I have re installed 3 times now to no avail.
I dont seem to have anything called programs and features in my control panel, and could not find Host OpenAL in the add and remove programs section to uninstall.
              Sooooooooo......

Do you have an xfi with x ram? If so I think you have to disable open al for the game to work with sound.
