    Game crashes after logos

    Ive scoured through all of the problem reports and their solutions and nothing has worked. I keep crashing out of the game before I can even put my CD key in.

    My specs are:
    CPU -> 2 gHz Dual Core AMD 64 processors
    V-card -> nVidia 8600 GTS 256 mb
    ram -> 2 gB
    OS -> XP (latest build)
    Sound -> on-board Realtek HD Audio chipset

    I've tried running the game without sound, deleting wrap_OAL file, replacing the files with similar resources. I've even tried using my USB audio hardware in place of the HD audio, still with the same results.

    I've been working on this problem for days and just can not seem to figure this out.

    The only thing I know is that the error message says it has a problem with kernal32.dll.


    Any assitance is much appreciated.

    I could really use some help, even a link, maybe. If it helps, I'll post the HEX file that is available on crash.

      Here are some options you might try:

      Edit the UTEngine.ini which can be found in My Documents\MyGames\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config.

      For NVIDIA cards:
      [Engine.ISVHacks]
      UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=True
      bInitializeShadersOnDemand=True
      PumpWindowMessagesWhenRenderThreadStalled=True


      ...and then...

      [SystemSettings]
      OnlyStreamInTextures=True


      Let us know if that works.
