UT3 won't start + it's ruined my videos

Whenever I try and start UT3 the opening videos stop and start, and I get the same issue that everyone else has regarding it simply crashing to the desktop. But what really peevs me off is now I can't watch some videos on my PC. They worked fine before I installed UT, now they too are so jumpy to watch, its unbearable. Also now IL2's introduction movie is unwatchable.

I've updated my graphics card drivers (ATI x1900xtx) as well as xvid and vlc.

Any ideas?, I'd really like to play my Christmas present... How did this happen?

Epic is not here and I don't think they're listening (even though it's their forum, I know.)

Anyway, most movie crashes are fixed by setting the following line of the UTEngine.ini as follows:
[Engine.ISVHacks]
PumpWindowMessagesWhenRenderThreadStalled=True

If that doesn't work and you still can't play your other game, try uninstalling your video drivers in safe mode with Driver Sweeper. It worked for me!
