Bad Graphics-bad compy

I need to update my computer to get this game to run better but i dont know where to start. Right now i have an intel pentium 4 processor...2.80 ghz with 1.5G of ram...i dont know what video card i got...but i know its an ATI Radeon. My computer is like 4 years old and its a dell dimention 4700. The game looks and runs really bad... I have 140$ to spend on a graphics card but i dont know what one to buy...can you help me?

first things first, you are running with the screen percentage up to 100 I assume (under the "advanced" tab)

Anyways, I have a computer that is about as good as yours just for editing and testing (so I can see how well things will run on lower-end systems) and just put a BFG Tech NVidia GeForce 7300 GT (512MB) AGP card in it and performance is great (maybe a little laggy in rooms with a TON of meshes and/or particles) and I run the game at 1024x768 with Texture Detail and World Detail at 5. And that card only cost me $80 at Fry's... So, that would be a decent card to upgrade to without breaking yourself, though you could probably get an extra GB of ram to help yourself out as well.

Honestly, I think you'd be better off saving your money, and upgrading your entire system in a few months, instead of trying to put a bandaid on an older system.

Save yer cash, and when you can, buy at least a dual core athlon or intel system, and start from that base.

As far as returning the game, most stores won;t take opened games returned, so you might have to resell it on ebay instead.

This computer runs great so i dont see why i would throw it away. I was thinking bout getting ATI RADEON HD2600 Pro Edition Graphics Card.
