Change Character Name In LAN

the ONLY permanent solution i know is to create an online account.
you have to be online while creating the account.

after you have created one, log out, exit the game. disconnect from internet.

from now on, you can use "Play offline" but your profile will be used.


btw, im not sure, but you can try creating 4/5 profiles for your friends and copy them over their respective my documents folders, inside proper directories.

setname Psycho55555

hit enter.

Unfortunately, the name defaults back to "Player" on map change. Is there a permanent solution?

Hey everydody

I just bought UT 3 for Christmas, i never play online because of my 56k connection (too laggy ) but i wanted to play in LAN with my friends but it seems to be impossible to change the character name without creating an online account, and even if i try to create one it doesn't work (impossible to create account...) Playing in 2vs2 without knowing who's who is really boring...

Is there an issue ?
