    Graphics Issues! Please help!

    WHY ME?!?! AHH!!

Alright fellas (and what ladies play Unreal)...I'm really not usually this stumped when it comes to computer issues, but thus far Unreal 3 has eaten my lunch.
I'm have some graphics issues that I can't seem to gnaw out...I've tried different resolutions and different detail levels on textures and gotten nowhere! I'm using the latest nVidia drivers (169.21) and AMDs Dual-core optimizer as well. I know I've got the latest updates for DirectX too. I just recently updated the game w/ patch 1.1 as well...hoping it may resolve my issues but it didn't! AHHH!!

It seems to me like the textures just aren't loading all the way or something...
Any help on the subject would be greatly appreciated!!

My sys specs are as follows:

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
    2.00 GB RAM DDR2 800
    XFX GeForce7900 GT
    Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
    2 x WD Raptor 36.6 GB (10,000 RPM)

    blah blah blah

Here's a few screenshots as to what happens during gameplay:

Could be your video card overheating.

I think there are some options or programs you can run to manually tell the fan on the video card to keep the fan going at 100 percent.

Hopefully it's just heat, if not it could be that your actual video card is going bad.

that reminds me of my Crysis in DX9 mode back before the updates. somehow doing windows update fixed it.
have you done windows update recently? [if you are running windows that is..]

this game has more bugs than the Australian outback, you will probably have to wait a while until EPIC get most of them fixed lazzy gits. but a better graphic card would do the trick? radeon 3850 or nvidia 8600gts

Maybe we can stop blaming Epic for every little thing?

lol, dont worry telzen, these forums are filled with negative wahhh. just ignore them.

@ironman, try different nvidia drivers(more than likely, NOT epics fault). make sure your directx is up to date, windows(if it is your os) updated and check your vid settings.

your vidcard may be bad/going bad if none of our suggestions help you resolve your issue.

If I may throw my suggestion into the ring for a sec, to me it looks like it could either be a heat issue with your card or maybe ... and I'm sorry to say this, your card might be having problems more severe than just heat. Possibly memory module probs or even the GPU could be starting to give up the ghost.

Have you tried reseating the card ?

How do other games perform ? Have you noticed any issues?

                    Do you have any overclocks?

Maybe look at getting a program to test the memory of both your machine and the card.

                    Oh , and good luck

I realize this was a while ago...but I dug a little deeper and discovered that all XFX 7900 GT cards had some "serious issues" with factory overclocked memory on 'em. They replaced the card for free on my old rig...but now I've got a new one to play with...

Some of that seriously looks like overheating - the first pic though looks like the old issue in UT2K4 when you butt one bsp to another bsp changing the poly's on one of the planes. .. you could remove the one bsp perpendicular to the floor to see if it disappears - you can also convert the bsp to a static mesh - that WILL get rid of it. But, seriously - looks like overheating.
