Here we go - change the hardwear - Add more crashes

This is mainly for Epic's Crash analysis.
I've just added a Creative SB X-Fi Elite Pro to replace the on-board Realtek HD (fitted to an Abit AN-M2), as the audio was being distorted (mainly when weapons were fired) among other problems. While the X-Fi (with some tweaking and config work) fixes the audio problems, the game has developed a real Crash Happy way of life. This morning, I was playing a LAN game, and with no warning (and during a fire-fight if this helps), the game froze, Crashed out to windows with the 'UT3.exe has gone wrong', and it even crashed the system - forcing me to reset.
When I rejoined the game, it crashed again instantly at the point I joined in the game (i.e. after it loaded and the announcer says 'PLAY!').
It did not do this again during the 2 hours of play after this, but then it has never been so 'Crash Happy' before the X-Fi card was installed.
I don't wish to remove the card, as the Realtek HD really is a pile of c**p, but I would have thought Creative would have ranked no. 1 for hardware trials.

Now is this just co-incidence, or is it because I've also turned the detail level down to 1 (as the game is slowly getting laggy during extended play).

Last of all - why do the bots increase drastically in difficulty when a 3rd player joins the game. When there are only 2 players, the bots are set to Novice, and they run round as thick as in Quake Wars (sorry id, QW's is a goodish game). When a 3rd player joins, we all get ****** off when the difficulty goes through the roof. They suddenly develop Vader powers, and kill you without being there.

This information is in the forum if you look at the stickys.

Creative is working on the issue and will have a new OpenAL based driver
    to release.

If you have the OpenAL checked in game uncheck it for now and
see if that helps until a fix comes around.

    Hope this helps.

There's a "work around" in this thread.

      Here's the download.
