    Nah no worries.

It's just $90 down the drain if it can't be fixed

This is like not having the keys to a brand new Ferrari. But in that case you could get someone to make new keys.

I ordered one copy online, and bought another from my local games shop. Niether of them worked. So it's highly unlikely that I have bought 2 copies from the same dud batch.

A fellow called Rickford also purchased 2 copies & he had the same problem.

But Gamespy would have nothing to do with using the serial key to unlock the game would it?

If you use a router forward your port 7777 udp/tcp.and maybe 6500 for gamespy.
Yes why they need gamespy to log on i dont know

[edit]or use dmz, they should be explained in your router manual.

The only service I disabled in Windows Vista is Windows indexing.

Why epic used a third party company i don`t know it was miles better the old way.

    Your thread title is misleading

This might not be the biggest help, but I read a post somewhere on this board from a guy who reported the following:
He had this problem with the CD-Key as well, until he noticed that SOME SERVICE from Windows was required, which he had disabled. AFAIK he reinstalled the OS and this solved his problem.
DonĀ“t get me wrong here, I do NOT suggest to reinstall your Windows. But you could check your running services if there is something disabled, which is not disabled by default.

This is the 'Troubleshooting' forum right, where people help you solve problems? Or am I mistaken? <insert sarcasm>

TAF, it has nothing to do with the key being valid or not.

I have bought 2 copies of the game, and I get the same ''Error - Invalid Key'' message with both.

Another guy from England said he also tried 2 copies, still got the error.

So, it's some sort of a confliction with the software already on our computers.

I tried installing it on my other computer & guess what I couldn't even get the thing to start, It said ''UT3.exe encountered an error and has to close''!!

    The game is F*****!!!
