Game freezes after about 2 minutes at menu screen

This is really weird, i play the game fine with max settings at 1024x768 and never have any crashes. The only problem I have is that the menu screen freezes after about 2 minutes of not moving the mouse or anything, and it completely freezes up the computer. Shutting down by task manager is impossible, the only way to turn it off is to cut the power...

Anyone else having this problem?

Sounds like a memory leak but that's pure speculation.

What brand and model computer, CPU, and video card do you have? How much system RAM and video card RAM? What Operating System? Example:

Homebuilt PC
AMD 3500+ 2GB RAM
ATI X1800GTO 256MB RAM
Windows XP Pro 32-bit

That's my system, but you can sorta see what it's like.

What driver revision are you using from Nvidia?

Here are some options you might try:

Edit the UTEngine.ini which can be found in My Documents\MyGames\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Config.

For older NVIDIA cards:
[Engine.ISVHacks]
UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=True
bInitializeShadersOnDemand=True
PumpWindowMessagesWhenRenderThreadStalled=True

...and then...

[SystemSettings]
OnlyStreamInTextures=True

Let us know if that works.
