    Processor change causes crash

We finally got the game to run on wifes system, but it struggles with the AMD XP1700. So I upgraded it to a XP2400, and now we are back to the 'crash at splash screen' thing. Gives us the "Has encountered an error" thing. This on a K7S5A Pro mb, with a HD2600 Pro vid card (agp). Also using 1gb of ddr ram. What would cause this ? The pc works fine (much faster) with the new 2400, except the game. Idea's ?

Nobody have an idea ??? This is the same problem we had with an NForce 2 setup with a XP2700, got a big black box on the start up screen, then the error message and it quits the game.

You can try a clean install of your windows XP on a freshly formatted hard drive.

What is the freq of the cpu? Is it above the min req?

Thanks for the reply. We tried a fresh XP install on the spare NForce 2 system, but still had the same prob. The game runs on her 1.4 ghz , but wouldn't with a 2 ghz processor....

All i can think of is have you updated the chipset drivers?
Or even have you put any in?
