Hey Travis, I have the exact same Leadtek 7600GT card and getting black screen and loss of monitor. This happens after the splash screens. Just curious - were you able to access the menus and settings the first time? I reached the menu once and since then it crashes every time. The same thing happened with the Beta Demo. Stay in touch on any progress and i hope we are not just screwed on our video card. Feel free to email and I will share everything I have tried including driver versions. By the way, I found a firmware upgrade for this Leadtek card - not on their site but another website. I will try this tonight and let you know if anything changes.

I didn't play Beta Demo, only the retail version. I was able to play the game once, then got the annoying black screen after the splash one. I decided to reinstall WinXP, SP2, lastest forceware drivers, but the problem persists.

Your experience in the retail version mirrors mine with the demo - I played the game the first night. After that, every time I started the game the black screen started after the splashes. On the retail version I never actually got to play but did make it to the menu once before the black screens. It is very odd that we have had it work one time but never again. If it works once, why not a second time? This almost makes it sound like it writes something to the hard drive. Anyway, as I mentioned I will attempt the firmware upgarde tonight for the Leadtek and post results. I will also post a list from home tonight of things I have tried and/or plan to try. Having the same cards we may be able to narrow it down and find a solution. Thanks Travis.

sorry to burst your bubble about the gfx cards, but i have the identical problem and am using a gforce 8500GT.

I've been through the forums and it seems this problem is being expierienced by a number of people .

Fingers crossed that epic are on the case, who knows how long that will take

Has anyone heard of a user with a 7600 running the game successfully? Also are your cards the AGP or PCI-e version? Sorry I did not get to do the video card firmware upgrade last night, but hope to tonight and will report. Recovering from knee surgery and since returning to work my butt is dragging when I get home! I will also be getting a new power supply after work since my current one is minimal on the 12V rail for the 7600 card. UT3 may be pushing the card/power supply to the max.

I get the same issues here, the black screen, and also the blue screen of death. I have installed the new Nvidia drivers, and have the 7900 GS card. The game worked and loaded, but then crashed. There was a mention of an error with the Nv4_disp.dll having an error in the blue screen. This is really annoying and EPIC, if you are reading this, please sort this out, as I am very annoyed, I've paid good money for this game!!!

Yikes. This is not sounding good for the 7600 crowd. Forking over $300-600 on a card to run this game is out of the question since I can run everything else. Granted I may not be able to max out all settings but my card holds its own on everything I have tried with medium or higher settings. Specs claim 6200 minimum with 7800 recommended with NO exclusions for the 7600 series.
Game shops will not swap open games so Epic may get endless calls until they return my $$$ if I am unable to get this thing running with my tweaks tonight. More later and thanks.
