Team balance - Players and bots on red/blue vs. bots only on blue/red?

I was also having this same problem when I played with friends over the LAN. Are there any solutions so that my friends can join one team and the bots switch over at the same time?

Anyone know how to keep all the human players on one team in a game with lots of bots? I tried a LAN game over the weekend with some friends and the "change team" option wasn't working properly in a 3 player game. We would inevitably wind up with 1 human on one team and 2 humans on the other. The game would not let the "loner" switch teams without one of the two on the other team switching as well (effectuating a swap).

I tried monkeying around with the players vs. bots setting (or whatever the actual name is), but that doesn't let you populate your side with bots as well - its strictly x humans vs x bots.
